Jakub Chwastek is a postdoctoral researcher specializing in neurobiology, pain, and obesity research. He obtained his PhD in neuropsychopharmacology at the Institute of Pharmacology, Polish Academy of Sciences. His research experience includes neurodegeneration, osteoarthritic pain, and the molecular mechanisms of brain appetite regulation. During his postdoctoral work at the Institute of Pharmacology PAS in Cracow, he investigated the mechanisms of osteoarthritis progression and osteoarthritic pain, focusing on synovial fibroblasts, neuroimmune interactions, and novel therapeutic targets. Subsequently, at the Łukasiewicz Research Network PORT in Wrocław, he focused his research on the molecular mechanisms that regulate metabolism and the identification of novel obesity-related factors. His expertise includes in vitro and in vivo models, molecular biology, proteomic and biochemical analyses, and animal experimentation.
