Myriam ANTRI (EN)

NEURO-DOL – UMR1107 INSERM/UCA
2, rue de Braga, 63100, Clermont-Ferrand (FRANCE)

Biography:

  • 2011- Lecturer, Clermont-Auvergne University, UMR 1107-Neuro-Dol, Trigeminal Pain and Migraine Team.
  • 2007-11 Post-doctorate, Institute of Cognitive and Integrative Neurosciences d’Aquitaine (INCIA), Bordeaux.
  • 2004-06 Post-doctorate, Neurological Sciences Research Center, University of Montreal, Canada.
  • 2000-03 Doctorate, Laboratory of Neurobiology of Intercellular Signals, Pierre and Marie Curie University, Paris.

Research Theme:

My research work since 2011 has focused on the electrophysiological and morphological plasticity of neurons and astrocytes located in brain regions involved in trigeminal and migraine pain. Currently, I am interested in the role of sex hormones in cutaneous hypersensitivity and central sensitization associated with migraine. And I am notably developing a translational project aimed at studying the influence of sex and the hormonal cycle on the therapeutic effects of transcranial neurostimulation (tDCS) in the treatment of migraine.

Techniques Used:

Patch-clamp on slices, confocal microscopy, calcium imaging, immunohistochemistry, behavior

Teachings:

I mainly teach animal and human physiology, neuroscience and electrophysiological techniques, within the Department of Biological Engineering at the IUT of Clermont-Ferrand.

Responsibilities:

Laboratory: Equality and fight against sexual discrimination representative NeuroDol/INSERM/IUT
Teaching: Co-responsible for the 3rd year of BUT (study director for work-study students)
