Research Theme:
I study changes in the electrophysiological activity of Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) neurons in the trigeminal sensory complex as well as neurons in different brain regions in response to painful stimulation in the orofacial and periorbital regions. I also study how different pharmacological targets can act on these changes.
Techniques Used:
Extracellular electrophysiology, immunohistochemistry, stereotaxic surgery, viral manipulation.
