Research Theme:

My research work since 2011 has focused on the electrophysiological and morphological plasticity of neurons and astrocytes located in brain regions involved in trigeminal and migraine pain. Currently, I am interested in the role of sex hormones in cutaneous hypersensitivity and central sensitization associated with migraine. And I am notably developing a translational project aimed at studying the influence of sex and the hormonal cycle on the therapeutic effects of transcranial neurostimulation (tDCS) in the treatment of migraine.

Techniques Used:

Patch-clamp on slices, confocal microscopy, calcium imaging, immunohistochemistry, behavior

Teachings:

I mainly teach animal and human physiology, neuroscience and electrophysiological techniques, within the Department of Biological Engineering at the IUT of Clermont-Ferrand.

Responsibilities:

Laboratory: Equality and fight against sexual discrimination representative NeuroDol/INSERM/IUT
