Research Theme:

Axis Pathophysiology of mechanical allodynia
My research theme concerns alterations of neuronal coding in the cortex in neuropathic pain conditions. I am trying to understand how the deregulation of axonal ion channels in neuropathic conditions alters the coding and propagation of the nerve signal inducing the painful sensation.

Techniques Used:

patch-clamp (soma, axon, dendrite), computational modeling, immunohistochemistry, calcium imaging, voltage imaging, behavior
