Research Theme:
I am interested in the involvement of tryptophan metabolism (precursor of serotonin and kynurenine) and aryl hydrocarbon receptors (AhR) in: – the initiation and/or persistence of neuroinflammation at the system level central nervous system during the chronicization of migraine. – resistance to triptans in certain non-responder or partial responder migraine patients. I also study the mechanisms underlying photophobia associated with migraine.
Techniques Used:
Endomicroscopy associated with calcium imaging (Inscopix), immunohistochemistry and confocal microscopy, behavior (evaluation of pain, anxiety-depressive disorders, cognitive disorders), molecular biology (western blots, ELISA), electrophysiology.
